Did I Call It Or What?

Photo & quotes cited from the Independent Florida Alligator

400 hundred fuckin applicants in one day?! Padding. Pure psychological warfare. This is a party in serious trouble. I don't have to be there to tell you that and you don't have to believe an old SG Senator to see the writing on the wall. I've said this till I'm blue in the face...when we won the first round in '04, things got real dirty.

I have still have ties from Voice with ISA and I'm going to use my all to see what I can find out. Lisa Turtlee Patel didn't randomly come up with this sordid idea...someone put the idea into her head and these Gator Party bureaucrats feigning amnesia is mighty fishy.

Fuckin Alligator...birdcage-liner-journalism. Don't they have any investigative journalists? And look at old Student Body Treasurer Paul Drayton mouthing off about the law... and he actually would think bribing student organizations would be unethical. Actually, huh? Actually? Interesting selection of words.

Also interesting how SG's #2 man feels that winning votes by alleging bugetary preference is not illegal. Sadly for Drayton Enron is no longer in business, but I'm sure any corporation would be lucky to have him. Such high moral standards and all.

And HSA is not partisan? Let's take a look at their exec board. And what kind of a person serves as president of an allegedly non-partisan organization, but then takes on a role as the President of political party. That's almost akin to winning executive office and dipping out your first term. Can anyone say conflict of interests? Can you say unethical? From now on Luis Nobriga will be referred to on this blog as Manuel Noriega, former Panamanian strongman.

p.s.
All but one seat...fuckin amazing. Way to go Orange & Blue.

No one in Gator would ever want someone to send a Facebook message like that, are you an idiot? They didn't set that up to bribe students with organizational funding, that genius of a student leader came up with that one all on her own. It's not Gator's fault that the organizations have learned that if the want to get something done, registering with the independents ain't gonna cut it.

Student organizations that align with the System always use the fear of losing their budgets as an excuse for sticking with FBK - even though there's never any truth to the fear.

775 people - shit. Did every single last pledge and all the organizations leaders fearing for their budgets come out and register?!?

O&B had a great slating period from the sounds of it - 46 of 47 seats represented, plus a good number of folks beyond that who slated.

O&B is also, smartly, taking on an issue (the code of conduct) that Gator is too scared to touch, even though it's Gator who's in charge of SG and should be leading the way on these things.

All around, it sounds like the current crop of GDIs have everything under control. I for one wouldn't be fazed by the psych-out attempt with the 700+ registrations. (After all, with that number, are we sure there weren't duplicate names put forward?)

Keep up the good work.

What ever happened to "I'm going to back off SG?"

Anon 10:35... no I'm not an idiot. I've seen the System use dirty, under-handed tactics like this before. I've seen the System consciously violate Alachua County ordinances in their efforts at besting the GDI's.

There's no direct evidence as of yet, but there sure seems to be plenty of speculation and perhaps even some circumstantial evidence.

I plan on using my full contact from Voice in ISA to see who, if anyone gave the order.

Remember back to Joe's charges... Are you guys on crack, have amnesia, or are you simply just acting stupid?

The GDI's are working their asses off, but just compare the reaction of the Elections Commission back for Pants/Gator with the I Voted Stickers and look at that kangaroo courts reaction to these allegations.

IS THE ELECTIONS COMMISSION INVESTIGATING GATOR'S TIES TO ISA? OR DOES THAT PIECE OF SHIT BODY ONLY HARASS INDEPENDENTS?

All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him.

The EC doesn't launch independent investigations, they have to have a complaint filed. They're a judicial body, not a police force.

Anon 3:10 you're kidding me right?

O&B should get on that. These type of mass-mailings are usually sent down the wire.

I don't know about now, but when Voice had ties to ISA, they boasted of a list serving nine hundred strong and with over two hundred active members. ISA is a major cultural force at UF, largely overlooked for BSU, HSA, and ASU.

Numerically speaking they're dangerous. They also resemble BSU in their collective-cohesion.

Expect major Greek breakdown come spring. I believe, as I've stated all year long, that Phi Tau will be at the center of things.

For the person that believes the Election Commission is a judicial body, you are an idiot

I never said they were a judiciary committee...I clearly said "investigate" not "deliberate."
