Pick Your Guy & Tell Us Why

Late Night Edition
Question of the night seems to be what, if any, role would D’Oyley play in Impeachment proceedings. Another huge question mark (for myself as well) is how the alleged rogue faction intends to have Sen. Renfroe dismissed and what possible hindrance could she be to their plans? Only thing I know for certain, is that the upcoming senate meeting will be a snoozer in terms of any movement. I'm hoping the O&B will wait out at least 7-10 days, now more than ever, because I'm getting pretty reliable tips that meetings have taken place or will take place between SE/OX, as well as 'private discussions' with members of Sig Ep's alumni pool.

Who the hell really knows what's going on. All I know is that in my day we had Bryson and Jared, both, as top prospects for SBP and we had OX openly defy Jamal and even Innovate by threatening to wreak havoc if Jeff Yeatman didn't get SGP. These are very powerful houses and I just don't know how well the NPHC can do against them. If things got real hot down there, I suppose that Council might pressure Drayton to come back early. With Drayton physically in office, nothing shy of a Dooms Day would allow even the houses to counteract the electoral mandate; but with Drayton out and rumors growing that Paul's own proxy has done little next to nothing, it sure opens up a path for Johnson.

From what my source at SW 2nd/13th just emailed me "JJ will act deaf, dumb & stupid to all of this...." And to be honest, if I were him, I don't know that I do it any other way. If I were Johnson I'd tell my people to sit calm and if the Drayton thing gets worse and if O&B for instance gave support (a symbolic more than anything, not really numerically so intrinsic), then perhaps he'd act, or at least I would. But the O&B's favor Rene, so I'm not sure they'd go for Johnson, unless something could be worked out.

Another interesting factor might be this rumored Renfroe dismissal, also not going to be happening this week. A part of me is thinking (but mainly from piecing together tips) that this little feat may be nothing more than a practice test for the upstart faction. If they can't bounce one member off R&A, they probably won't get many votes from the floor. Still, there must be more here than I know about, because even as a test, it seems a bit silly. There's so many other ways to test your strength in chambers.

Sucks being away and having to rely on rumors and sources, but hey, at least I'm covering SG 100x better than the Alligator. lol

Senate-wise, Drayton would lose worse than the O&B people do.

Who cares? Paul won't be impeached so it doesn't really matter.

Maybe so, but if there is any kind of interest in Johnson and he wants SBP, I'd keep my ear to the wind if I were him and not answer with any definites on anything.

Personally, I'm too detached to say more, but Sig Ep gave us Ridgway, Hernandez, Brett -- there's always been A-LOT of power in that house. Of all the houses Drayton's contender in the shadows could have come from, this is the one that could actually provide the muscle in the Council and the muscle in FBK to get some very interesting things going.

I mean really, would Moseley have really taken out Weiss without the very same house that could shake the apple cart as we speak?

I personally think Sig Ep alone could take out the entire NPHC, but that's just me. Gotta jet, be on later to approve comments.

J Loh isn't white, replacing Paul with him is a bad idea.

JJ is going to be SBP next year regardless of whether he's SBT. The necessary talks have pretty much already occured. It's going to trade back and forth between Sig Ep and OX until something shakes the boat.

Neither, they are both tools.

If JJ replaces Drayton hes the next SBP on May 1 2009. I know about 2000 Greek girls that would kill to have homecoming with Sig Ep. This has always been their trump card. Yooni's own sorority would sell her out just for the chance to have a social with Sig Ep next year. Ironically Drayton is the only person in the Gator Party with any chance to derail a JJ presidential bid. There's only one certainty about this situation, Kevin Reilly is sure to fuck it up somehow.

seriously duque, this isn't helping.

Senate is definitely going to be boring this week considering it's the intercession, and there is no Senate meeting.

I know you're not here - but the fact that there is no Senate meeting this week is a bit important for your O&B action timeline...

JLoh is not a Phi Delt or an ATO, he's not even Greek (at least anymore). Might want to try a different intersection.

Here are the minutes from our secret meeting last night:

9:30 - meeting gaveled to order by the Ghost of Marshall Criser

9:31 - Pledge of Allegiance

9:32 - Roll Call

10:15 - President's Report

With President HOLLAND receiving an excused absence for haunting the Jefferson building of the Library of Congress, former Honor Court Chancellor GRAHAM delivered his report. Graham said that the FBK Alumni barbecue and dodgeball game was a success. Those in attendance raised over 1.2 million dollars for the 2009 Gator Party campaign fund. President Holland is meeting with Dr. Machen this week to determine the feasibility of an ad-hoc committee to make the Murphree area more friendly to the undead. They will also discuss additional red decal spots for Bull Gators during the upcoming football season.

10:20 - Vice-President JONES had no report

10:21 - Treasurer COX had no report, but did announce that the 800 code revision committee was meeting Sunday night in the attic of the Hippodrome, home of the ghost of Marc Adler.

10:22 - Acting president Criser opened the floor for debate on the resolution to merge FBK with the FIST.

Former Senator Ghost of George SMATHERS pointed out that the Fist was not really a secret society and was actually a group of video game nerds who had organized a club called "Finest In STarcraft." Upon hearing this, former senator Allende passed a resolution calling for an elaborate plan to cut off their A+S fee funding if they did not vote for Gator. The motion passed.

Meeting adjourned 10:45

You cant deny JJ SBP next year but what you cant do is take Paul out of SBT NOW. Blacks have to much owed from FBK to do it. JJ has the charisma of a Sig Ep that everyone loves but who cares about that any more. It should be tiring of the same old people running SG!!!!!!!!

With Renfroe gone who will nominate O&B people for committees and get a second on the nominations?

You do realize that Renfroe nominated the two people for the three committee seats O&B has.

The blacks have more power than just about everyone. Paul will not be impeached and they would kick SigEp all over the SET.

And you anon 11:27 might want to take up reading. I've only been repeating that my current source is not Loh for idk - the last week now?

Renfroe hates the O&B people. Eric doesn't count.

My vote is Drayton. Anon 11:55 is correct, FBK owes the AAs too much to shaft them. They certainly hold a large portion of the balance right now, and would flip the script if they lost Drayton.

And that only proves that he is your source.

And whoever is pontificating on R&A is an idiot. Kellie (or the Boca Princess as Duque so patronizingly terms her) nominates everyone who actually passes.
