Tapering Off The Chaos

Rumors are probably the lowest grade of information out there. Sources help, especially when you can research the person(s). But perhaps the best source of those listed is a phone call, actually talking to a real person, as opposed to reading an email. Anyone can start an email account and normally you don't follow-up on your sources, you don't phone a source, you just go by what's being told to you, you could ask a question or two, or you could ask for a generic message sent from the primary email, but you're really kind of out there as far as verification goes.

This morning I received a phone call from someone close to me, I guess you could say family and what I was told was very troubling. Whatever I can give you guys, please be content with it, because I hate posting half-truths and bits & pieces, but the information needs to go out. From what I was told, there seems to be a subtle type of alliance being formed between Sig Ep, Theta Chi, & Phi Kappa Tau. I can totally understand the SE/OX connection and would have understood including an AEPi, Delt, ATO, or even an SAE, but apparently Phi Tau's stock has risen or perhaps they're more gungho. I don't know - so please don't ask - I seriously don't know.

There was also from what I'm told, a good amount of activity at Sig Ep house last night. For those of you unfamiliar with Fraternity-life, members of other fraternities usually don't come over to visit. I'd be a liar if I told you that Theta Chi's or Phi Tau's were seen going in, but my source on SW13/2nd (not in Phi Tau -- so that further narrows the guessing game for you P.I.'s out there) insists that his/her house tried to get in on the pact and were basically blown off. Apparently whatever is going on is not a Greek-House-Pile-Up, whatever is going is being very carefully planned and if I had to guess, it's going to royally suck to be Paul Drayton in the coming weeks. It kind of angers me that these System brats can have a couple meetings and rock the system more than my blog has in three years, but whatever, that's just the name of the game I guess.

Two things I've deduced from all this and it just hit me square in the face is that (1) Reilly must be abreast of what's going on here, I never really figured he was this smart; and (2) I suspect and that point have no idea how, but I have a rather substantiated belief that this Gator-faction is going to turn Greek Judicial Affairs on Kappa Alpha Psi, but on what grounds or charges, I have no idea.

Potentially dismissing Renfroe from R&A or colluding to have Drayton brought up on Impeachment as part of a greater aim for SBP is all part and parcel of the SG game, but NEVER in history - at least not that I'm aware (Ken? James? Nick? Chris? anyone?) has an SG political faction used a University review or court to directly counteract another student interest group. Some could argue the online voting issue, but that was a student court against a student issue -- not saying that's the case, but even still, that's student:student. If the puzzle I put together is correct, we could be entering a new, sleazier, darker era of SG Politics.

The real question here isn't really how much of this is true, I guess the real and important question, how badly does Johnson want SBP, how badly does Drayton want to hold on, and what, if anything, will the Senate do when this little happy family, arguably, devolves into infighting, cliques, and daily sparring? To tell you the truth, I don't even see O&B coming out whole from such a saga either.

Let's hope that these entries taper off the chaos a bit. I love chaos, but some reason is needed. I've seen Senate split in three before, but God help us, no, God help you, if Senate has a hostile Greek, hostile black, hostile GDI block. NOTHING WOULD GET DONE.

The Orange & Blue Party
Will They Survive As One?

Retraction: Earlier a photo of Dresher was posted. Frank Bracco had informed me that SBP President was traveling with a member of OX, External Affairs. I went to the SG website and pulled the name I found; needless to say, I pulled the name of the previous year's officer. My apologies for the mix-up.

Does Phi Tau even have one Senator? I know they got a nomination for the Hume Seat in Fall 07 (and became the only system person to lose) but have they gotten anything at all since then?

Duque dont try to act like there any sorority houses on 2nd and 13th. The superbloc must just be looking for some real piece of shit frat that will always be the extreme junior partner if they went to Phi Tau. I cant think of a single prominent Phi Tau in SG. Looks like we are headed for a 3 way confrontation this Spring, possibly even more if Yooni or Kellie really grow a pair.

"Naadira Renfroe is lovin "momma's food" but don't worry she is still laughing bc u thought u were worth her status. God is my only judge, so I won't stand b4 u for conviction!"

Dude, she is obsessed with you. She keeps talking about you in her status msgs.

The NPHC frats haze really hard and usually go under the radar with it.

Phi Tau will be getting an highly visible appointment the first week of summer B.

This all depends on KLD and MGB

Anonymous said...

CTV, I presume.

Senate, not getting anything done??? God forbid!

Anonymous said...

KLD talks too much...not to subtly about Renfroe...

Isn't AGR kinda close to SW 2nd?

AGRO has nobody important, although they do have asshole in abundance

So, Phi Tau is lining up for CTV and that will mark their return to the FBK world. Pedro Allende pretty much blackballed them from FBK and Mike Bowen took away the power associated with their legacy position when he pushed his insurance legislation through Senate. They have fallen hard and I doubt this gambit will return them to their past glory.

I don't know about the NPHC, but the blacks have a strong caucus that will hit hard if they lose out.

Christian, you have said yourself that this group made angry is dangerous.

Good comments so far. I really think you guys are living through what we lived in the Summer of 2003 when Ignite was starting to crumble before us -- under very similar circumstances.

My gripe with Paul is that he's not physically in office, but even if he were, from the movement allegedly going on, they would have done something else to him, just like they did to Jamal. Clearly Paul Drayton is a big name for SBP and I can't help to think the Renfroe at some point and to certain folks might be a prospective name for Veep in '09 (with or without Drayton) b/c I can't figure out why a 1st or 2nd yr SG'er would be named in the potential ouster of SG's, arguably, second most powerful office-holder.

I'm also trying to stay out of the comments because this is all very foreign to me, not conceptually, but insofar as the players go.

I will say that Access looked to FIJI and PIKE b/c we were on outs with FBK (more or less - or - b/c we were just plain overlooked). I won't reveal my source's house or less my source, but I wouldn't be so surprised if all this is true and the major houses need minor houses to pad their bloc -- it's not so unheard of.

A minor player wants to prove itself, whereas a fellow major player is going to demand a good share, might even want half that pie.

I predict that Drayton gets pushed out, and then the blacks take over the world with AEPi.

It will be like OX v. BSU & AEPi. What a fight that may turn out to be!

Please remind me why we won't survive whole?

Are you serious? No offense, but O&B has a seat on R&A - no more. You get Gator in two, maybe three pieces, Reilly will practically have to throw appointments left, right, and center just to get quorum in chambers for what's left of his party to get things done. And with all that potential strife, corruption breeds.

Just recently O&B almost lost Wolf, I love you guys, but be real. If Gator is on the verge of collapse, at least O&B should be pondering the reality it too might go the wayside.

Plan and hope you guys survive what's to come. Me, personally I'd be going nuts, especially since it seems no one's going to do anything this week or the next, I'd hate having to bs with someone who's acting stupid for two whole weeks, only to turn on me like clockwork in some 14 days.

Mark will be back for Summer B. You think Cain and Sam are bad; just wait for the terrible three to be together.

4:19 PM: Brett won't get CTV b/c Fetto sucked at hume. He lost to Ben!

Johnson wouldn't dare meddle with Kappa Alpha Psi!

The story of Eric Wolf reveals the incompetence of KD.

Eric also fancied himself an LJ, so he tried to do what she did and switch parties, but we would have none of it. We told him he has no power (he was with no orgs) asked what he had that we needed?

A week later he came back said he thought he could declaw O&B by winning the summer leadership election. When Eric was firmly in control, we wouldn't have to deal with the freaks. He said he wanted a judiciary seat (Like his idol, LJ).

We appointed him to the JC and he began his convert campaigning. He said the indies had a message board they used to communicate so he quickly found out about the summer replacements.

He campaigned long and hard and, he claims, won the seat but Sam stole it form him by yelling at people until they switched votes.

So KD told him he had to leave the JC and he broke down crying in her office.

The next day Eric was reading the rules and realized O&B would case to exist if he left. He did.

Then somehow, this is really when he stopped talking to us, he doubled back. He had asked for KD's protection, like she was a mafia don, and she had granted it. He repaid her by rejoining O&B.

She never had the heart to strip him of his JC seat..

In Short: Kellie Dale sucks at her job.

Your logic is based on the assumption that Reilly plans to actually do something.

Yeah I hear that reilly offered miorelli an directorship in accent and that was his price. Cavataro and McShera sold out for positions in external affairs. Huey flipped when offered the Keys Area presidency. Cain wanted deputy chief of staff. Give me a break duque. The indies are not in this for meaningless table scraps. They won't be impacted by the infighting on the gator side because they have no interest in being co-opted into the fbk machine.

LOL I don't even live in Keys. Being KGB president while living in Springs would be pretty sweet though.
