Armando Grundy: Shakin Up Gainesville!

The District 3 candidate, Armando Grundy seems poised to promote public safety, tax relief, smaller government, & bringing back interest & leadership to local government. Despite having served several years in the U.S. military, his blue collar backbone, and his commitment to complete his college education, Grundy has come under substantial scrutiny from local Republican leaders, including an almost cold shoulder routine by Ben Grove and UF College Republicans. As of press time, we are awaiting comments from Alachua County REC Chairman Stafford Jones, pertaining to unconfirmed reports from an incident just today!

At least one key member of UF College Republicans, claims Grove and 'the executive board' may be punishing Grundy for his support of [10x re-elected] Republican incumbent U.S. Congressman Ron Paul, who's currently mounting an impressive grassroots bid for the U.S. Presidency.

It's not plainly known why Grundy has come under such scrutiny, but if the commotion surrounding his candidacy or his travels is any indication of what will happen if he's elected, then we can rest assured that Grundy will certainly shake things up! What that means exactly, only time will tell.

Grundy's an idiot who pretty much smeared/lied about Jack Donovan, generally making a fool of himself.

Ben Grove is pretty much irrelevant.

It's going to be:
*Donovan for District 3 over Armando Grundy
*Thomas Hawkins Jr. for District 2 at-large over Robert Agrusa
*Lauren Poe for District 2 over Bryan Harmon and Bonnie Mott

I don't think he's quite so bad...

Jack Donovan is on the board of the local chapter of the biggest abortion provider in the world, Planned Parenthood.
The organization was founded by the notorious racist, eugenicist Margaret Sanger.
She wrote that "colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated."
She also wrote "the most merciful thing a large family can do to one of its infant members is to kill it."
He also votes like a communist.

Armando, on the other hand, is an honest veteran with some intelligent policy ideas.
I think we could use some new people on the commission, particularly good people like Armando.
If you have a few bucks I humbly ask that you consider supporting Armando's race.

If you predicted Lauren Poe over Bonnie Mott then you obviously aren't educated into Gainesville's political world.

Oh and Agrusa actually has a chance especially if students come out and vote.

Point is do your research before you make ignorant predictions that will have no bearing on the final tally come January.

I don't know, Bonnie and Bryan are going to be able to bring money to the table but in the end Lauren may win that race. I know he has already been making the rounds but I cannot really say that for the others...but then again, District 2 is so far away . Keep in mind that Lauren serves on the city committee I became a part of this year (CACCD) and that has a record of turning out city commissioners.

Agrusa has gotten some good attention on WCJB, in the Alligator, and in the Gainesville Sun. He is also making the rounds, as is Mr. Hawkins. I haven't really seen anything about Mr. Hawkins in the media but his family is extremely well established here. Either way I think that will be a fun race to watch (meaning come out to the Local Candidate Forum at Emerson Hall on Jan. 16th).

Both Mr. Donovan and Armando are interesting characters, the outcome seems predictable but again it should be a fun race to watch in Jan. Don't forget Armando's has gotten his name out there on WCJB, so again people have at least heard his name...it won't be another Mike Belle-100 votes sernario.

P.S. Don't forget to check and see who has actually qualified...good way to see who is really serious and where the fun will be. Agrusa was first to qualify, followed by Mr. Hawkins, and I believe Donovan qualified this week. Qualifying ends at noon this Friday:

P.P.S. I agree, I have done a little research on Bonnie and she seems like a pretty interesting person as well. She also served on the CACCD back when Commissioner Henry was on it. Just sayin'...looks like it could be a trend with that committee...just sayin'...

You talk about vague events. Do you have anything definitive that shows Ben is giving Grundy the cold shoulder?

10:55: Armando, why don't you just say he has the blood lust of stalin?

Of course Ben is giving him the cold shoulder. Ben's an elitist asshole.

In District 2, I predict Harman V. Poe. The district isn't favorable to Bonnie Mott because their are so many doctors and professors in NW Gainesville. Ms. Mott is uneducated and weak on ideas. Plus she is a real estate broker and this town hates realtors. I have heard several times that Mott lves the sleezy bars in town as well. She needs a less classy area and she could win!

Are you kidding me? People without a clue should not comment on blogs. Bonnie Mott is WAY ahead in the polls. She's a trustworthy and intelligent. People have no problem with Realtors, they have problems with developers. If you are grouping those two professions together, you clearly don't have a clue about politics.

Harman is a joke. He's unemployed, uneducated, and doesn't even own property in Gainesville. He has only lived in Gainesville for a few years. Let's not forget he's pretty goofy too. Poe would kill him. Please folks, use some common sense here.

Mott ahead in polls? What a joke!!!! Haha. She can only appeal to rednecks and scumbag realtors. The word is she had to give herself $5,000 in cash because people will not fund her. What a joke!!!! She is not capable of winning the election because she will try and buy it before working to win it. Poe is a teacher and will butcher realtor Bonnie! Harman and Poe are the preppy college boys and make Mott the outcast. I predict Harman and Poe and that is what I constantly hear from people in town but I don't know who will pull it off.
