The Machine's Been Oiled for 2008!

Understand something. The University of Florida will forever be the stomping ground of at least one secret society. No matter what their stake in State or Nat'l politics will be, the buildings carry the names, the houses carry the slogans, and the members uphold the lie..."what are you talking about, we don't control anything, it's not what you think."

When you have a 55-2 vote against discussion, you have a problem! When 5,683 students sign a petition wanting online voting and the students' Student Government ignores the ill of their constituents you have a problem. Bernie Machen won't do anything, the Zionists at UF will practically have chain an Arab or Muslim to a car and drag his/her body ala Matthew Shephard-style before he even addresses the minor smidgen of a chance that Arabs & Muslims are persecuted peoples on his campus. Taking your pleas to him is almost as futile as expecting a fair shake from the UF Supreme Court; seriously, when's the last time anything decent came out from that nefarious arbitrary body? Oh yeah...Access days, Keys fighting Keys, who'd guessed that'd be the one time the scales of justice would actually shift?

You will learn, my dear friends, that democracy is a fuckin sham. Usually there's a system of checks and balances, usually the COURTS unlike the LEGISLATURES (who rule at the pleasure of the majority) will focus on the flipside (protecting the rights of the minority).

I wish Tommy Jardon and other Indies in law school will look back at the injustices they are living today. I hope that once graduated, they will toy with the idea of getting involved in future battles, as practicing attorneys. I have always believed that the moment this corruption and these nefarious practices (e.g. keeping online voting out) are put under scrutiny in a real court of law, that much like with the Grapski case, a certain allegedly non-secret-secret society will finally get the fuck out of Student Government. Until then, don't bother telling me anything to the contrary. God Bless the GDI's!

It is worth noting that the lone justice that ruled in our favor, Campbell, is actually a lawyer with a JD. He is at UF getting his llm. Imagine his disgust with the other justices who scraped by evidence to get on the supreme court.

Take my word, the online voting thing is not over yet. The indies know what the fuck they are doing this time, and they are smart enough not to fuck it up.

Oh absolutely. There is no foundation in the Rule of Law for anything that comes out of the UF Supreme Court in matters such as these. When seldom called upon, the Black Robes have to earn their keep.

Who nominates them? Who votes for them? It's all one big joke, a travesty of justice, governance, and impartiality.

This is why being a GDI is noble. You work hard, kill yourself during the elections, and 99% of the time you get nothing but mud in your face...but hey, at least you're not the big disgrace.

who were the 2 in the 55-2????

Joel Lewis and someone else.

Even if online voting should be implemented or on a ballot it doesn't save orange and blue.

Their platform is the absolute worst I've ever seen from a political party. Some of the 'ideas' involve flat-out lies, and many are just plain unaccomplishable.

It really is a crime they are allowed to get away with presenting that as a viable platform.

Anon. 5:14PM: Ryan Day, go back to buying people beers so they will like you. Gator's platform is pretty damn weak in itself. My God, I could give you more banner space with a hole digger and one weekend.

And taxes for drunks is even more unrealistic, however noble, than you becoming President of the US.

Once again, J. Clayton Brett outsmarts the GDI's.

The system is weak, but he holds it together.

PTI won't pick this fight.

However-

He is leaving at a terrible time for the SigEp-OX Superbloc.

They will not be able to keep it together.

And Josh Weiss wants to run.

Uh oh!

...

Ergo, JCB will dump Lacey for the next hot tail in SG. Probably Eisenburg or Prywes.

Lacey will go to Georgetown like she deserves.

And he will stay at UF law chasing the dream of the FL governorship, which is not a secretly held desire of his. I hope he likes Tax Law.

Clapahontas? Really? Are we confusing Lacey with her sorority sister, Rizzo?

Anonymous said...

Pretty sure they are going to Vanderbilt.

And PTI ALREADY picked this fight.

6:52 PM/Frank Bracco: Pretty sure they are going to Vanderbilt or WashU together. Happily.

Clapahontas is J. Clay's nickname for her.

That and "the little drum"
